Privacy policy
Effective date:
Clyde is Jonathan Koh’s single-user personal AI assistant, built on Hermes. Only Jonathan’s own Google account is accessed. There are no other users, signups or customers; it is not a product.
Clyde’s use of Google user data is limited to the practices disclosed in this policy.
Access and use
Clyde requests only the following read-only Google scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly— calendar events are read to assemble a personal daily summary.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.readonly— spreadsheet cells are read for personal record reconciliation.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.readonly— contacts are read to attach names to those records.
No write scope is granted on any Google service. Clyde cannot create, edit, delete or share anything in Google.
Storage and retention
Data stays on Jonathan’s own Mac mini and his own private server. A short-lived local cache of the current day’s calendar summary is kept so the briefing still works if a read fails.
Sharing
Nothing is sold, shared or transferred to any third party. Google user data is not used for advertising or AI training.
Security
Google access is restricted to read-only scopes for Jonathan’s own account. Data stays on his own Mac mini and his own private server.
Revocation and token deletion
Jonathan can revoke access at any time at Google Account permissions and delete the local token file.
